My Persian test is today at 2. The moment of truth when I find out if a summer's worth of studying is enough for me to skip out on first year Persian and pass go straight to second year. Well I won't get the results right away, but you can more or less tell if you failed miserably right then.

Will there ever be a time when mormon songs are completely gone from my brain? Sometimes these things just pop into my brain and I have no idea why.

  1. That's cool -- how come you're learning Persian?

  2. Arabic is my main course of study, but I decided to learn Persian for a few reasons. For one, I need electives in my major, and a year of Persian would count. Two, In some of the masters programs I'm looking at, a second near eastern language is required. And I just like learning languages. I took a test to skip first year because I thought I might be able to learn it on my own and I like a challenge. I probably won't get the results for a couple of weeks yet though.
