thoughts on the quarter and semester systems

Since the quarter system only subjects me to classes in 10 week increments, that means I have to pay attention for much less time, which i like. The problem is that by week 8 I find it impossible to pay attention and almost as hard to care. This is problematic because finals are in two weeks. Whereas in the semester system, around week 8 you can turn your brain off for a month or so, stop going to class and then wake yourself back up about a month before finals and still catch up. So, both ways kind of suck, but I think the quarter system might be better. hard to say.
